    Note: If you remove the plastic weld, on the inside of the door panel, FIRST!! You can slide UP the original plastic shaft, (and reuse it.) Dont destroy it. It pulls straight up from the bottom to the top. Slide in new handle, easily slide OLD pin in from Top to bottom, then weld tab on... with solder gun! 😅it's easy, no fighting door panel, and you're finished in maybe 4 or 5 minutes.👍

    There's a shark nose near where I live, it has been sat for decades and missing all the baubles. It's a shame that such a significant car will probably never get restored just for how daunting it would be to track down or fabricate all those pieces. It looks great from the 3/4 angle, and there are a lot of really interesting and prescient individual elements to the design but overall it doesn't quite click, certainly no Blue Streak. It's a shame Northrup's originally envisioned fastback got axed, would have worked a lot better

    Another great video my friend! I always learn something. Do you use a wax after you finish the car? For added protection? Thank you for taking the time to make your videos, very much appreciated. I am getting close to painting the metal gas tank and fiberglass body kit on my old 1976 Yamaha RD400. The high performance engine I built, actually started up with an auxiliary gas tank. Turned it off as soon as it started - I'll wait until the painted parts are done. Almost time for the drag strip, at 69 I can't afford to crash and burn. LOL. I primed everything with a rattle can and one coat of gloss black. All is sanded and ready to spray with a LVLP and then with a 2K clear coat. First time using this spray gun, if it doesn't do well, I can try the HVLP. Haven't used it either. I expect lots of floating shit to be attracted to my attempt to paint! Building and repair of bikes and restoration, I need to learn to paint. It would be a lot less cost. I'm sure you understand that. Sorry for going on and on, must be an old man thing. Again, thank you very much!

    I'll be doing this myself on some bushings for a CRV rear suspension and old Suburban. You could have a slightly more snug fit by using a rod or tube slightly smaller than the bolt, if you wanted that. Also, I was curious about putting the urethane in some sort of large syringe to get into hard to reach areas on some bushings.

    I had one sitting at the back of our property. Dad used it to till our garden before we modernized to David Bradley TriTrac. I ended up getting rid of the Graham about 10 years ago. It was in some pretty rough shape by then. At one point I can remember my dad using it to run across our asphalt driveway to install a culvert. Not the best tool for the job I'm sure but those spring tines chopped straight through it.

      Thanks for watching. I hope you viewed the video in its entirety. The video covers factory specs and modifications that would have been made by various coach builders. When the car was unveiled in 1938 it drew much praise. However, the public wasn't ready to purchase such a daring car. As it was then, and it is now, you either love it or hate it. I think there are more positive thoughts than negative on the styling of the vehicle.

      Check your measurements and make sure the equipment you're using is clean. You may have to start over. Here is a list of what is used in the video: One quart plastic, or glass container. Baking pan (with low edges is okay), one that isn't used around the kitchen anymore and lined with foil. Half-gallon plastic bucket with rinse water. 2 D-Cell batteries with a battery caddy. (You can duct tape 2 batteries together with batteries set up in opposite directions.) Red and black wire with leads - we call them alligators. Red = positive side for the annode. Black = negative for the part. 12, or so, inches of wire. Ours is yellow in the video. You will attach a loop to this to secure the part that needs plating. Zinc Annode. (From Amazon about $6) Distilled water. White vinegar (cheap or store-brand) Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda (You may have to order this online.) Clean part as described in the video. Solder and iron to attach that yellow auxiliary wire or crimpers, if you don't want to solder. Solder is best. Air stone, pump and air hose for an aquarium from pet store. Nothing fancy. (Optional) A good pair of nitrile gloves.

    Interesting and very informative but one constructive criticism- your over use of the word 'actually'. This is a filler word and very seldom serves any purpose or assists in conveying further understanding - unless there is some debate over the matter at hand or if there are other possible options to choose from so you point out which is the 'actual' one for instance. And there are other legitimate uses, but mostly it is not needed. Otherwise it is a no more than an 'um' or an 'ah' disguised with a word. I am surely being pedantic but I only offer this advice with the best intentions for your future videos. And of course, you are actually free to ignore it...

    • @CarzPlus
      @CarzPlus 2 месяца назад

      You are correct it is a bad habit I have been trying to kill. At least I do not have the common problem of adding "ah" or "um" as filler since many people can not stand pauses when they speak publicly.

      Yes, you're welcome. Since you didn't specify that it is a base clear paint job. it's hard to be 100% definitive. Given what you described, I would suggest locating a well reviewed detailer. He will be able to look at it in person and suggest what can be done. There are a wide variety of paints and certain products work best for certain types of paint. Generally, he will have to do some sort of compounding and polishing to improve the looks of the paint job. Hope all works well for you and thanks for watching!

    Hupmobile was my first thought but Graham is what it is. I love those what they call "Orphan Cars"! I will follow your restoration of this one, count me in!

      We remember that jingle well. It's good to apply the thought and the spray to all that engine grime. Be sure to follow our instructions for safety. Thanks for watching!
